The Guernsey Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1991 with the aim of developing orchestral music in all its forms for the benefit and advancement of musicians and the appreciation and enjoyment of concert audiences. To achieve this, the Trustees and Management Committee engage the services of both amateur and professional musicians including soloists and conductors and currently produce three ambitious concerts each year. usually in March, July and November.

The Guernsey Symphony Orchestra offers valuable orchestral experience to some of the more advanced students on the island.

Safeguarding Policy

The GSO fully recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Whilst it is impossible to ensure that no-one ever comes to any harm whilst taking part in GSO activities, implementation of this policy and following the guidelines will enable all members to participate in practices and gigs, confident that all reasonable precautions have been taken to prevent harm occurring, whilst being prepared to deal with an incident should it occur.
